The Euroleague season is about to begin and BASKETOPOLIS invites you to its private league in the official Euroleague Fantasy Challenge competition and challenges you to compete with Theo Papaloukas and not only! Giannis Bourousis, Panos Vasilopoulos and Giorgos Printezis have all created their teams and wait for you to battle!

PAPALOUKAMP A MASSIVE SUCCESS AGAIN!
Another summer, another great success for PAPALOUKAMP. Theo Papaloukas' summer camp took place for the 5th year in a row and as usual kids from all over Greece were thrilled to be part of Theo's team. Apart from the Athens' camp which took place from 23-27 June, this summer PAPALOUKAMP went also to Lefkada, a beautiful island in the west of Greece. Theo Papaloukas and all the PAPALOUKAMP crew were in Lefkada between 29 June-3 July, realizing the first basketball camp there and of course the event was the island's sporting highlight of the summer.
Lots of guests were of course invited for both events. Josh Childress, Milos Teodosic, Panos Vasilopoulos, Giannis Kalabokis and of course the presence of Theo Papaloukas gave all the participating children great joy, but also invaluable advices about basketball and their sporting life in general.

PAPALOUKAMP IS ON THE WAY
The summer is approaching and PAPALOUKAMP 2009 is ready to open its doors for the fifth year in a row. Theo Papaloukas is waiting for his little friends to come to the most prestigious basketball camp in Greece, for kids between 8-18 years old. The dates for the 5th edition of PAPALOUKAMP are 23-27 June 2009, as always held at the Olympic complex of Athens.

GETTING READY FOR PAPALOUKAMP 2008
2008 has only started, but PAPALOUKAMP is already on the way! This is the 4th consecutive season that Theo Papaloukas is organizing his basketball camp for children between 8-18 years old and we are more than happy to see PAPALOUKAMP grow and becoming one of the most recognizable ones in Europe. This summer PAPALOUKAMP will take place in June, from the 21st until the 25th in the state of the art venue of Olympic complex in Marousi. Due to Theo Papaloukas' preparation with the Greek national team for the Pre-olympic tournament, this summer there will be no other events except the Athens PAPALOUKAMP.
Due to the large demand, from this season there will be available Season Cards for PAPALOUKAMP 2008&2009, available for children that want to guarantee their spots for the next two summers. There are already over 65 kids that bought Season tickets, meaning that there are only 135 spots left. Among these, there will be 30 children from Jordan, members of the basketball academy of Al Riyadi club, that will come to Athens to participate in PAPALOUKAMP.

PAPALOUKAMP A MASSIVE SUCCESS
For the third year in a row PAPALOUKAMP proved to be the main off season basketball event. The basketball camp of Theo Papaloukas for the first time was organized apart from Athens (OAKA Olympic Complex) in two other places as well, Chalkidiki and Rhodes and in total around 500 children participated in its programme. "It gives me great pleasure to see that PAPALOUKAMP is growing and i was very happy to go to other places, outside Athens. Our goal is to take PAPALOUKAMP wherever kids want to play basketball" said Theo Papaloukas, who is now at preparation with the Greek national team for the Eurobasket 2007.
Apart from Theo Papaloukas, many well known basketball people visited the children who participated in PAPALOUKAMP. Mr. Pini Gerson, head coach of Olympiakos, Stratos Perperoglou, the new signing of Panathinaikos, Mihalis Pelekanos, the new star of Real Madrid, Panos Vasilopoulos (Olympiakos - Greece), Giannis Kalabokis (Panionios), the FIBA referees Stelios Koukoulekidis and Xrysostomos Shinas. A very special moment wad the visit of the mayor of Pireaus and basketball legend mr. Panagiotis Fasoulas, who came to PAPALOUKAMP the same day with the Greek wheelchair basketball national team.
The end of the 2007 events, marked the beginning towards PAPALOUKAMP 2008. For the first time, there are Season Tickets available, for children that want to guarantee their spot for the 2008 and 2009 PAPALOUKAMP's. Due to unprecedent demand, until the beginning of September, the Season Tickets 2008 & 2009 will only be available for the partecipants of 2007 and from September 1st onwards to general public. There are only 200 spots available and of course there is a stict first come, first served policy. The waiting is over! Theo Papalouka's CSKA jersey in NOW available, after a couple of months of waiting! The jersey of Europe's Player of the Year for 2006 is available in red and blue and in the following sizes: Small, Medium, Large, XL and XXL. PAPALOUKAMP 2007 READY TO EXPAND!
Theo Papaloukas is officialy the best Player in Europe for 2006 (as FIBA EUROPE announced a few days ago) and his summer camp couldn't be anything less! Two years since the birth of PAPALOUKAMP, Theo's summer basketball camp for kids, its popularity has risen so much that we are ...obliged to organise more than one camp. Hundreds of kids want to partecipate to PAPALOUKAMP 2007 and only the Athens event isn't enough to cover the demand. This is the reason that this summer the camp will be held not only in the Greek capital, but also in other cities in Greece, giving the opportunity to many more kids to learn the secrets of our sport from the best possible person, Theo Papaloukas himself. BASKETOPOLIS is finalizing the details with our local partners and pretty soon we will be able to announce the dates and destinations of this year's PAPALOUKAMP. BASKETOPOLIS IS GROWING...
BASKETOPOLIS is very happy to announce that the procedure for the increase of its capital is now complete! The only S.A. in Greece that deals with sports marketing issues welcomes 5 new shareholders, who share are passion for innovation and invest in our ideas. HUGE SUCCESS FOR OPAP PAPALOUKAMP 2006
The success of this year's OPAP PAPALOUKAMP 2006 exceeded even the most optimistic predictions. The organization of Theo Papaloukas' basketball camp in the Olympic Complex of Athens has already become a key feature in the Greek basketball and PAPALOUKAMP is already branded by the Media as the "best camp in Greece and one of the best in Europe".
180 children gathered in the Olympic Indoor Hall to meet Theo Papaloukas. The European Champion was obviously the center of attention and as always he did everything to please them. He played 1-on-1, he practised with the kids, he had lengthy conversations with them, answering to all kinds of questions they had and of course he motivated them. As he said afterwards, being around with children is a great satisfaction: "It is a special joy for me to be among kids. PAPALOUKAMP is getting bigger and better every year and i am delighted to see that the feedback we have from the children and their families is very positive. Of course our aim is to improve and we have several ideas for next summer. Personally, i will never be tired to be around kids, i remember very well how i started playing basketball and if i can provide them with motivation and advice, then i will be a happy man".
THE GUESTS
The participants of OPAP PAPALOUKAMP 2006 had the opportunity to meet almost every member of Greece's National Team, the reigning European Champions! Panagiotis Vassilopoulos of Olympiacos was the guest on the first day and Panathinaikos' star Dimitris Diamantidis visited the kids on day two. The third day, no less than 4 players were present at OPAP PAPALOUKAMP, Giannis Bouroussis (Olympiacos), Loukas Mavrokefalidis (PAOK), Vassilis Xanthopoulos (Panathinaikos) and Giorgos Sourlis (Egaleo). But the big day for the children was Thursday. The Indoor Hall of OAKA went crazy for Greece's national coach and basketball icon Panagiotis Giannakis, who brought along Benetton Treviso star Nikos Zissis. Mr. Giannakis spoke with the kids for a long time, providing them with advice and giving them the opportunity to speak face to face with one of the legends of Greece's sports.
Overall, the children had an amazing experience, practicing in the best venues of the country (the Olympic Complex), with Theo Papaloukas and the special guests of OPAP PAPALOUKAMP 2006. The last thing they did was to give a present to Theo Papaloukas, a banner signed by all of them that wished him good luck for the World Championship in Japan. The MVP of the Euroleague final was clearly moved, thanked them and they all renew their appointment for next year. The time for PAPALOUKAMP 2007 is counting down...

OPAP IS THE OFFICIAL SPONSOR OF PAPALOUKAMP 2006
Everybody is going to PAPALOUKAMP 2006 and of course OPAP couldn't be absent. One of the biggest companies in Greece, the state-run S.A. that deals with games, lotteries and betting, is the Official Sponsor of this years summer camp of Theo Papaloukas. The deal was signed yesterday and obviously both parties were mutually satisfied. Theo Papaloukas commented: "It is great news, we are delighted to see that PAPALOUKAMP has such an impact in its second year and it gives us the strength to do more things for the kids that will come to participate, but also for our Sponsor. OPAP is a massive company and we hope that our collaboration will last".
OPAP PAPALOUKAMP 2006 will begin on July 3rd and the places are already booked. Children from all parts of Greece will travel to Athens, in order to attend the Basketball Camp of Greece's Theo Papaloukas, but there are also 3 children that will travel from Europe!
